A LIFELONG DREAM HAS BECOME REALITY
Our family grew up on the water - boating, skiing, tubing, failed barefoot attempts, and whatever else we could invent, including making our own skis. Not to give away my age, but wakeboarding didn't exist back then. Life was good and we had tons of fun. We didn't care how choppy the water was - that just added to the excitement!
After getting married and moving away, I had to have a boat and it travelled with us as we lived in several locations. I skied on the Mississippi River in Iowa, on the reservoirs surrounding Phoenix, at Lake Powell (of course), on the many lakes and rivers in Sacramento, CA, on Hartebeespoort Dam in South Africa, and just about every body of water in Utah.
One of those career moves took our family to Sacramento, California and I had the opportunity to ski in a novice slalom tournament at the Bell Aqua Lakes. I don't recall doing very well in the tournament but I will never forget how cool I thought it was and how awesome I thought it would be to have a home that backed up to your own lake with your boat ready to go at a moments notice. And then I said to myself - this is where I want to live someday.
That was many years ago and while I have continued to ski at numerous venues around the world, I never really thought the dream of living on my own lake would become a reality. So you can imagine how excited I am about this project. It has been surreal to watch it come together over the last several years. We broke ground in July of 2014 and haven’t looked back.
I hope to see you on the "Still Water" at Still Water Lake Estates.
Nestled between two lakes, 30 lots are exclusively secluded on their own "Island Oasis" providing a beautiful, fun and secure environment—indeed "Something to come home to". Just around the corner are all the conveniences, amenities, and entertainment you could want.
A private dock and boat lift makes getting on the water as convenient as humanly possible. Spending time on the water could not be any easier.
Each lake has a surveyed AWSA (American Water Ski Association) 6 ball slalom course. You can work on your "personal best" every day. If you're not a die-hard slalom skier, no problem. Lakes will easily accommodate wakeboarding, tubing, and other watersports.
The lakes feature an on-the-water fuel dock for filling up your boat. No more pulling your boat into town and messing around with 5 gallon gas cans.
